Imposing baroque castle Seußlitz between Dresden & Meißen – Investment project / Monument protection

Magnificent baroque castle with a stately park in the idyllic Meissen Elbe Valley for sale for the first time
Around 35 km north of Dresden there is a unique investment to be discovered. Where Europe’s northernmost wine-growing region merges with the picturesque natural landscape of the Elbe Valley, the baroque Seußlitz Castle is waiting to be kissed awake from its Sleeping Beauty slumber.

On a total plot area of almost 2.5 hectares, there is the opportunity to realise a historic property with placemaking potential. The offer includes the castle building with adjoining buildings and the historic park.

Investors benefit from an increased demand for extraordinary holiday domiciles and event locations in one of the most popular regions in the Free State of Saxony.

A variety of usage options with a wow effect

Holidays at historic locations and in ancient accommodation are becoming increasingly popular. “Schloss Seußlitz” gives investors the opportunity to transform an authentic baroque castle into a boutique hotel or event location. But it would also be suitable as an exclusive company or foundation residence, as well as a domicile for health tourism, a burnout clinic or a private beauty clinic.

Relaxing gem for wine lovers and nature lovers on the Elbe River.

Diesbar-Seußlitz offers an impressive range of opportunities for local recreation for a broad target group. Situated about 14 km northeast of Meißen, the town is one of the warmest areas in Saxony with an average annual temperature of 9 degrees Celsius. So it is not surprising that Diesbar-Seußlitz is located in the northernmost wine-growing region of the continent at the beginning of the famous Saxon Wine Route. Wine growing has a 700-year tradition here. There are several wineries in the area that attract connoisseurs of fine wine from all over Europe.

The 110-hectare nature reserve Seußlitzer Grund adjoins the private castle park. With its gentle ridges, meadows, ponds and old trees, it is a popular destination for hiking and cycling. The 7 km long history and wine trail in the Seußlinger Grund shows impressive landscapes as well as evidence from 4,000 years of settlement history and 700 years of wine-growing history.

Diesbar-Seußlitz is also an ideal destination for cyclists, as Germany’s now most popular cycle path – the Elbe Cycle Path – runs directly through the village. Within a radius of 5 km there are several castles and palaces that invite lovers of historical architecture to visit them by bike or car.

Dresden is about 35 km away and also the city with the wealthiest inhabitants in eastern Germany, the town of Radebeul – also known as the “Saxon Nice” due to its charming location – lined with magnificent villas, is about 25 km away from Diesbar-Seußlitz. Even Prague, about 130 km away, can be reached quickly.
